Gluten Free Meloxicam 7 5

The melocicam 7.5 tablet I have been given is made by Lubin Pharma. They will not answer any inquiry which makes me nervous. As a celiac, are there ANY generic companies that prduce a Gluten Free Meloxicam 7.5? Are ALL generic Meloxicam made overseas?

Hello! Sorry about the problem that you're having.

There is a gluten free drugs list at glutenfreedrugs.com and they list the name brand Mobic as being gluten free.

You may want to ask your doctor about prescribing it as 'brand medically necessary', so your insurance will cover it and the pharmacy can't give you a generic.

Thank you! I assumed that I would need to do just that. I use glutenfreedrugs.com but was hoping there might be one not checked!! It never hurts to ask and save a buck or two. Thx again !

The website for gluten-freedrugs no longer lists MOBIC meloxicam as gluten free, though it remains on their "old" list. But it is not on their new list, so wonder if it is GF in the U.S. in 2020.

Zydus Meloxicam is GF. I’ve been on both 15 mg and now 7.5mg.

I am off Meloxicam now but took it for over a year with no gluten reactions. Zydus is generic and they told me over the phone it was gluten free. I would take again.
