Glimepiride Tablets 1mg Should 80 Years Take Them?
Updatedthe Dr. says when I turn 80 yrs old (4 months) he will stop prescribing Glimperide and put me on insulin. Does that make any sense?

Hello, Bill! How are you?
Yes, it actually does make sense. There have been cases of dangerously low blood sugar levels occurring in elderly patients taking oral antidiabetic medications. Thus, putting you on insulin helps avoid the problem by letting you more precisely adjust the dose, if necessary.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
