Switching from Percocet to Percodan, makes zero sense. The only difference is that Percocet has Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and Percodan has Oxycodone and Asprin. I don't even think Drs prescribe percodan anymore because Asprin is even worse for your liver than Apap.
Wondering the same thing!!!! It's like you are having withdrawals from not having your pain meds. They don't WORK!!!
Have thought it was just me about A333 pills not giving me pain relief but so many others have also complained. Even though like one person said on other page no more complaints since 2014. Its almost June 2015 and I have yet to have this percocet help me. I am stuck with it because I live in a small town now with 3 pharmacies. All carry A333. Wal_-mart used to carry IP204 but no more. I wish I lived back in the city where there are more options.
Endocet is what ive been taking ever since Watson was bought out by Actavis n their A333 became their generic Percocet. Endocet is 10/325 generic Percocet made by the company that makes brand Percocet so its as close as ur gonna get to brand Percocet. The Actavis Percocet do not work n make everyone sick...there r tons of threads on thus sire with hundreds of people complaining about the same thing. Ive also tried the mallinkrodt generic. ..theyre ok, I just found endocet to work better than mallinkrodt, but some prefer the mallinkrodt. Not all meds work the same from one person to another. What helps me, may not help you in the same way, then again it might. ..u just have to start with one n go from there but from experience n reading other posts, Endocet and mallinkrodt seem to be the most help in controlling pain. I get my endocet from Walgreens, but not all locations have them ir are willing to special order them. My usual Walgreens location wont, but 2 out of the 4 Walgreens in my town will so if u go to one n they dont have any and wont special order them, try another location till u find one that will. I also know that CVS will do special orders sometimes. If this is the route ur goin, start early n give it at least 2 weeks notice if its being special ordered so the pharmacist has them when its time for u to get ur script filled. Dont wait till last minute or ull b stuck w nothing! As far as ur pain management agreement. ..let ur dr know ur going with a new pharmacy. By the time u go see ur doc, u should already know what pharmacy has ur meds. Good luck n keep us updated on what happens!
I feel that the A333 do not work as well as the Watson 10/325 Percocet round white ones. The thing is if you complain to pharmacy they may say and will say take your prescriptions some where else. This is not that easy if your on a Pain Management program. First, it's not easy finding a pharmacy that will fill your scripts and when you find one ,you better Just be silent. Second, when your on this pain management programs , you have to sign a Narcotic agreement, which specifies that you use one pharmacy only. Do you have any suggestions. I was thinking about asking my doctor to change from Percocet to Percodan . Could this be a viable option,??
Its not that they cheat you....all Percocet 10/325's are that 8.9%...the 7.5/325's are like 6.2%, the 5's are 4%...I think those are the %'s...pount being....theyre all below their script dose by 1% approx. BUT...this Actavis is crap....making people sick n giving no pain relief. ...just look through the topics on this site and read the posts. ..you will learn alot! And... in all honesty, it seems the Watson's were even stronger than brand Percocet since there are many people who have tried brand since Watson's were no longer an option.
I got these Actavis 10/325 Oxycodone and Acetaminophen white A333 today.Ive been switched a couple different brands over the couple years but I've taken two today.Felt weird in public my stomach is cramping.I got the actual dispense bottle peeled back the sticker looking for ingredients,Says Oxycodone hydrochloride,USP 10mg*Acetaminophen,USP 325.Then under that it says *10 mg Oxycodone HI is equivalent to 8.9637 mg of oxycodone. So 10 percent of narcotic is missing per pill. Then no telling what other inactive bull is in it.Im taking this crap back to Freds tommorrow. On the front of the bottle it says New NDC/New Appearance NDC 0228-2983-11.If they are that cheap to knowingly cheat you over 10 percent of the active narcotic, bet they don't buy gloves, sanitize pproperly and binder could be lead paint.lol
I just got the A333 oxycodone and I had been getting the Watson brand. I haven't had any GI upset yet but its only been a couple of days. I have noticed that the A 333 don't work as well. How is that legal to do and why is no one doing anything about it? I don't understand how its legal for them to make meds that don't work as well. Meanwhile I'm sitting here in pain and if I take more bc 1 pill doesnt stop my pain I won't have enough meds to last me all month.
Hello, Meister! How are you?
I think there are some basic misunderstandings going on here.
It isn't that the FDA can't regulate them, because they aren't made in the U.S. that has nothing to do with it. All generics must meet the same quality control guidelines, regardless of where they are manufactured.
However, the FDA permits generics to have an allowable fluctuation in the amount of the active ingredient, that difference is plus or minus 20% and it is measured against the original name brand. In most cases, this is not a significant different and doesn't cause problems for most people.
However, some people are sensitive to medications and may have problems with any slight variation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
