Generic Oxycontin Canada

my dr prescibed oxymorphone er 60 mg. and oxymorphone ir 5 mg. I was able to purchase the ir tablets in generic (but they cost about 50.00 more than the oxycodone ir 20 mg. that I was taking before he switched my meds) I was not able to get the oxymorphone er 60 mg. in generic form. Are these manufactured in the U.S (2014)? The brand name was Opana, which ended up costing me around 450.00 for 60 pills. This is OUTRAGEOUS!! I am a woman, of only 58 yrs.old. I'm on disibility from back injuries from about 20-25 yrs. ago and I also have C.O.P.D. Because of this I'm on a very low income, but not quite low enough to get "The Extra Help" that is avaiable to people who didn't work very much. Because of that they"re disibility pymts. are a bit smaller than mine, therefore they receive "The Extra Help". In other words it's as if they get rewarded for not working much at all. Even though they were just as capable as was. I worked VERY hard since I was 15 yrs old because our family didn't make much money because they're parents were not able to send them to College, for the same reason they couldn't send theres. Because of that, me and people in the same kind of circumstance's are more or less screwed! What is up with that? It's so unfair. So what I'm trying to get at is What's up with these so called "Drug Manufacturer's" and our so called "Government? They have become so very, very Greedy. More so than ever before. Now that the economy is in such a bad way, it seems that they want us poorer Americans to suffer for they're screw ups. And now, that a whole lot of us feel defeated and just don't know which way to turn or where we can go for "REAL HONEST" answers (from someone we KNOW we can trust) They know (for a fact) that they have us by "Our short Hairs", and there isn't anything we can do about it. Except for us all to ban together and just NOT take it anymore. But it seems that 75% of the Americans today, are nothing but "CANDY ASS"S" and are not willing to stick together. And the Goverment and all of these other Big Business' know this. Therefore things will continue to get a whole lot worse. I just cannot understand why they have turned they're backs on us all. I know that they're greed is the main reason but, whatever happened to compassion? It seems as though they are trying to push us to our "Breaking Points". And I'm sure they have they're own deceitful reason for doing this to us. In some unforseen way they have a plan behind all this, and I know it's going to be very detrimental for the people that are not in they're "Inner Circle". Also, if you, your family, friends and loved ones do not have an extremely LARGE amount of money i.e. millions and millions of cash and assets, well then I think we are just a "Hopeless bunch of Birdbrains" if we don't all pull together immediately. Otherwise, I truly believe we will be living in a communist world. No longer being free, and being able to think and do for ourselves.

You can have up to $17,505 in yearly income for an individual and $23,595 for a couple to qualify for Extra Help. If your income is more, you should be able to afford the medication. For those who receive Extra Help, the difference is not being able to afford their medications at all without the help.
@Cindy,
I agree and sympathize with you on many levels. Greed is definitely an understatement when describing the nature of this system big pharma and our government has going for it. And quite frankly we really do have to ban together in masses in order to make any kind of statement against it.
Not to sway off topic, but I know you had mentioned that you weren't able to receive a generic version of Opana (oxymorphone). However as I recall, Actavis announced back in 2013 that the FDA approved their generic version of Oxymorphone ER. I'm not sure what dosages they have available at this point in time, but you'd probably have to speak with your local pharmacy to see what they are able to order for you since each place carries different things. It's ridiculous though, how the supposedly equivalent brand names are priced sooo much higher than generics (as if to say without words that they really are THAT MUCH different). The average person doesn't have $450/m to spend on pills alone; especially with the cost of living being as high as it is.
I wish you well on your journey Cindy and will pray that you're able to find what you're looking for from at least one of the pharmacies nearby. Good luck to you and the rest of us facing similar situations.
