Generic For Detrol
UpdatedMy insurance coverage doesn't allow for me to use the Name brand Detrol LA, so they have substituted the generic form. I have found that it doesn't work. I find I am running to the bathroom just as often as before the on the generic. The name brand did work fine. A little frustrating. The generics should be required to work the same way before being mandated to be a comparable substitute. These are drugs you are taking with side effects and conditions that need to be properly addressed. We are still paying for these sad replacements.

They are required to work the same way.
It could be that this medication just doesn't work for you and you may need to try something else.
There are several other options available, such as Ditropan LA. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and urinary retention.
Have you consulted your doctor, yet?
