Generic Lortab Never Get!!! Or Any Generic!
UpdatedBeen taking generic lortab for about 5 years, I would use caps for generic but it don’t deserve the recognition, put up with pain and only took 5-500 for all that time, pain getting worse, they upped it to 10-500, still not much relief, then they decided to give me (NAME BRAND LORTAB) worked really well and I don’t need but the 5-500 of the name brand, I had gotten so much relief from it I was amazed, also this is not the first time I tried this out, my other doctor had me on generic of other meds, was wacky for a long time, so you can figure out how that was going (BAD) so went to name brand of other meds and things straightened up pretty well and quick, the generic brands they will swear up and down it is the same thing as name brand.......(IT IS NOT THE SAME) .. with generic they are required by LAW to have the main ingredient be name brand but nothing else is required to be, it can be anything they want to attach it to, but if the mark is 100% of that main ingredient, by LAW, they can go 20% above or 20% below that mark whatever it needs to be for that drug even lortab!, so you might feel relief with 1 pill then the next 1 can be the one that is 20% below so it’s up and down up and down and 1 perception might not be as stable as the next always changes !! .. (DOES NOT MAKE FOR A GOOD DAY ON ROLLER COSTER) don’t believe them do the deep research not something that someone else has looked into or they write about , do your own!! If I were a doctor I would not write 1 more generic perception.
If you’re getting generic demand from the doctor that you get NAME BRAND if the generic don’t seem like it is doing what you think it should…. Also many new people new to taking prescription drugs for the rest of their life if they have never needed perception drugs and all they ever had was generic they don’t know any difference, so that is retarded! … at least give name brand a try 1 time if it is not different for you then go back to generic if it is fine for you, but conic pain not a good idea for generic,
Remember! Generic drugs mean? Generic health!
Quality Name brand drugs mean? Quality Health!!
(IF LAW MAKERS HAD TO TAKE THE GENERIC THEY WOULD CHANGE THAT LAW)!!

Hi ZIG,
Thanks for your input! The information you provided about generics vs brand name medications is very interesting and surely helpful to many users on the site. I imagine the reason why many people opt for generics is because it's cheaper than the brand names- however I'm sure the reason why it's cheaper is most likely because they use much less of the active ingredient. I've taken brand name Seasonal birth control as well as the generic and I had many more issues with the generic. However, in the end, everyone reacts to medication differently and there are people who have had success with generics.
Anyone else care to add more information/advice/opinions regarding this topic?
