G E Amox Tr K Clv What Is It And What Does It Treat

my 11 month old baby was given G.E.AMOX TR-K CLV 600-42.9/5 SUSP. First, the medicine was white in color, but slowly it turned in to yellow although I stored this in the refrigerator. Do I need to be concerned about this or is this something normal. Second, my baby developed rash on genitals and cries really bad when I clean his diaper. Any suggestions how I should see these two concerns?? Thank you

This is an antibiotic, it's a generic for Augmentin, it's used to treat or prevent bacterial infections. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

If it turned yellow, it might be going bad, Liquid medications don't tend to last very long. Is there an expiration date on the bottle?

As to the rash, he may have gotten a yeast infection, or just a general rash as a side effect, but you should have it checked out by his pediatrician to be sure.
