It has not been known to cause issues during pregnancy, or breastfeeding, but you should only take it if the prescribing doctor is aware that you are breastfeeding and infant.

It is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, non-allergic skin rash, and headache.
