You can, as long as your doctor approves, but you should stay away from anything that contains calcium, aluminum and etc. like Tums or Rolaids, since it can cause you to nor absorb all the antibiotic, which may reduce its efficacy.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
