Fixime 400mg Application

Hi i went to the clinic next to were i stay,and i explain my problem to the nurse that my virgina is itching then the nurse just gave me a tablet which is written fixime 400g,but she did not explain to me how it works. can you please assist me on that.

Fixime contains the active ingredient Cefixime, which is an antibiotic that's used to treat bacterial infections.

The problem I'm seeing, however, is that if she didn't do an exam, then this might not be the right medication to help you.

Vaginal itching is usually caused by a yeast infection and that requires an antifungal medication. Taking an antibiotic like Fixime could just make it worse, because they can actually cause yeast infections.

Did she do an exam or anything?
