In order to find out whether or not a pharmacy in your area has it in stock, you'll need to physically go to the pharmacy, with your prescription in hand. If you call, they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer with a need or a potential thief, so they won't provide you with an honest answer.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
