Find A Dr That Prescribes Methadone In Virginis

I have been on methadone maintenance for 2 yrs now (75mg)
This is the only thing that has helped me stay clean. I'm 49 and have been an addict since I was in my teens. I'm trying to find a dr in or around Fredericksburg Va. I'm paying $81 a week and just can't afford to keep that up please let me know if there are Drs out here that will write a script

I'm sorry, but under current law, Methadone for addiction or maintenance can only be given in a clinical setting by those specially trained in its use, thus a clinic is your only option. It would illegal for a private practice doctor to prescribe it for you.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I wish I had better news for you, but unfortunately, this is the way the laws currently stand.
