i need to find a doctor in ri that will prescribe me methadone pills for my back and hip pain its a chronic pain on a daily basis i have the bone disease avascularnocrosis and it is very difficult to live day to day with the pain i have please help me

Dear Michelle, my brother and I live in Northern R. I. And, my brother gets methadone pills from a Dr up here 4 back problems. Do u know how 2 edit 4 privacy on a mobile cell? Let me know and I'll give u his name.

Dear Michelle, I can't figure out how 2 edit 4 privacy, so, I'll just give u the info (see post #4). The Dr name is Dr Hussain. I don't know if he's taking new patients, but, u can try. I would go in as having him b your PCP, so, he doesn't think u r just looking 4 pain meds right off the bat. GOOD LUCK! Let me know how u make out.

I had sugerys from age 17 to present, I'm always in chronic pain looking for methadone doctor in RI that precribes the tablet form methadone, not a liquid clinic ...program, the tablets would benefit myself more, with consuler.

Dear Pia, I live in RI and I know a name of a Dr that prescribes methadone 4 my brother 4 back problems. I tried 2 post someone else with the info, but, it said, "needs 2 b reviewed" and never went through. I will try sending 2 u. He is located in Northern RI. It's Dr Hussain at (401) 762-0210. He's located on Eddie Dowling Highway (route146) I hope this goes through. Let me know.

Hi I am researching how I can get methadone pills prescribed to me because I am crippled with viral and psoriatic arthritis and edema in my feet and legs ... I have been in constant state of agony, and have been barred from every methadone clinic in RI for other reasons I don't wanna get into.... But I saw ur response in regards to u and ur brother and I would really appreciate if u could reply to me or vice versa...

Whoever posted this -thank u! I really need a good PCP and one I have won't prescribe me methadone pills , and I have been barred from every clinic in RI( methadone clinics) due to enemy issues/fighting and mostly they assault me and I get kicked out- this has happened to me twice where I self-detoxed and basically cold turkey"d it twice - once at195mg and this last time at 160 dose I was told I was being discharged.... I am extremely enraged by this because this defeats the purpose of proper recovery treatment which is what they advocate and adequate pain management... I am crippled with arthritis and hepatitis amongst other ailments including migraines etc.... So I pray that I can find a doc that will actually help me and not stigmatize me

I hear there was a doctor on the East Side of Providence RI who perscribes methadone pills. I think his first name might be Paul but not sure. Has anyone heard of this?

Dr Hussain. I've been on methadone for 15 years now. Cvs won't. Fill my scripts I need a pain doc to oversee my PcP so he doesn't. Get in trouble. And I don't. Get taken off.

These ignorant, cold, uncaring physicians ought to read the laws before they outright refuse to properly treat chronic pain. They are IMMUNE TO DISCIPLINE/ PROSECTION if, by chance, they end up with a patient that misuses their prescription. It is cruel and unethical to withhold medication to suffering people. CVS won't fill a methadone rx, you say? They most certainly are supposed to, as long as the words "for pain" appear on the script. If it does and they still refuse to fill it, You should immediately report this power-trip to the RI Dept of Health and then call RI Disability Law Center or even the state chapter of the ACLU. You may be able to file a legal case for discrimination.

Hi Michelle my name is Laurie I also have avascularnocrosis I Lost both of my hips and are now in serious pain, its also in my shoulders my daughter had both her hips replaced she's still in a little pain but at least she can walk,me I'm stuck on crutches and can only walk 1 house over and I can't walk no more I seen ur message to someone else and took the advice u gave to them and I have an appointment with that Dr wish me luck, I wanted to ask you if he helped you or am I wasting my time please let me know and thank you so much I never heard of anyone having this bone disease but me and my daughter.

Hi. I'm actually in the same position this person was asking about and that's a dr who prescribes methadone for pain. Out of all the opiates, ect, nothing's more effective. I've been going to a clinic for the last 3yrs and just got a letter stating my insurance is stopping the end of this month. I guess my $1,150 a month is too much money. Unreal. Anyway, for me to stay will cost $400/month if prescribed a $1.75 a month. Do you know the first name or where that dr for methadone is located? Ty so much. {edited for privacy}

What the f, talkin bout they assualt and kick you? I've been to two different methadone clinics and have no clue what your talkin about. If they did stuff like that to you they wouldn't still be open. I've had zero problems!!!
