Find A Doctor That Prescribes Methadone In Va/tn

I am a severe burn victim with many health problems besides the burns, I have several disc out and disc degenerative disease, fibermolgia, disc in my neck messed up and neuropathy and the list goes on. My dr has prescribed me methadone for over 8 yrs, now she is saying I have to go to a pain clinic so I went and all they want to give me is antidepressants and OxyCotinER 20 X 4 which I have tried now for over two weeks and I am screaming sick in pain. I went back today and all he would do is change the antidepressant meds. Which is BS I haven't needed any antidepressant in over 10 yrs. I am desperate to find a dr that will prescribe me the methadone, I done good on it, I could function & live somewhat of a normal life. But now I just want to crawl in a hole and give up. The pain clinic I go to says they will not write anybody methadone. I am on the Tn/Va line if anybody can PLZ help with a dr or pain clinc that will prescribe me the methadone.

Some pain drs won't prescribe Methadone. There is no way of knowing what a dr will prescribe you until you go to see them and take a copy of your medical records. It is also possible that you were a high does dose od Methadone and no dr will prescribe that high of a dose now.

Have you tried SUBOXONE? I was given that for PAIN MANAGEMENT for my FIBROMYALGIA and scoliosis and degenerative disk disease. I take the sublinguals (under tongue) 8mg 2x a day and it does wonders! I was on oxycodone and oxycottin and norcos and those NEVER quite dos the job! The SUBOXONE has helped my pain by 80% or more! Ask your dr! Best of luck to you!
