Very hard..extremely hard..not exactly impossible tho. Did you know that of all the OD,s on methadone..just about all were of the take home bottle pain management plan?? It sounds as if you know your drugs quite well and asking for a certain narcotic is always a red flag to any doc that more is going on with you than just pain..I won't elaborate. Did you ever think of enrolling in a federally licensed opiate treatment clinic?? (methadone clinic)

I am a 32 year old male that was recently in a very bad car accident and has had issues in the past with narcotics. I need to find a Dr in il that will prescribe methadone. I live in Marshall Il.

I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you.

Additionally, asking for a specific medication will make most doctors suspicious and they won't want to prescribe anything.

Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would probably be the easiest way to find the help you need.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
