Find A Doctor That Prescribes Methadone Myrtle Beach

I'm wondering if there are doctors available in Myrtle Beach, SC that can treat patients on a month to month schedule with methadone. I currently go to a clinic daily and am finding the fuel for transportation harder to come by everyday. I would like to see a doctor that can write prescriptions for methadone to avoid this. Thank you

I'm sorry, but no there isn't a doctor that can do this. Regular doctors can only prescribe it for pain.

To use it for addiction treatment, you have to go to one of the clinics and see those that are specially trained to treat with it. Unfortunately, that is the way the laws currently stand in the U.S.

What you might want to do instead is contact a doctor in your area that treats with Suboxone to see if they have any openings for a new patient. They usually only require monthly visits and counseling, so they can be much easier to deal with and, unlike Methadone, many people eventually end up completely drug free, rather than requiring a lifetime maintenance dose.
