Caremax on west side of Jax. It's on Normandy Blvd.
Don't know where your getting info from, but, I work for a large manufacturer in NC. There is no shortage of supplies.....This is all the DEA and Parma companies issue....
Glad to know you got it filled. I will have to try Publix here in Alabama. For Adderall and Norco I was paying $220 per month. With coupons, it cut the cost in half. All you have to do is show a coupon to the pharmacy when you drop off your prescription. Wish me luck!!
Hey Whitney, what doctor do you see? I'm I'm need of a compassionate pain management doc here in Jax.
More details about my problem filling my pain meds in Jacksonville Florida. I was finally able to get it filled at Publix. Was in for a shock however ....I got the same amount and strength filled at Publix in May for $65.00, this time it was $130.00. Thank God I had the money for it. But still cannot believe it was prescribed on July 7 and couldn't find it until August 3 rd.
I have a lot of health problems including degenerative disc disease and lupus. I'm in pain on a daily basis. Sometimes I can handle it other times I need my prescription drugs. I've had a script for my hydrocodone acetaminophen 10s for over two weeks. No one has it in. I keep getting the run around later this week or next. I don't drink, smoke or take drugs but I feel like I'm being punished for needing my medicine. This is Jacksonville Florida 32210. You'd think someone would have it in.
I'd actually advise everyone to not get their hopes up for November, either.
From what's been said, it seems the shortage started due to relabeling, since this medication was changed to a schedule 2 at the beginning of this month, but we are also into the time of year where there is almost always a shortage of most controlled substances due to mandatory manufacturing limits.
Each manufacturer can only produce a certain amount of any given controlled substance each year and once they reach that limit, they can't produce new product until the new year. Since demand usually exceeds supply, this has caused a shortage for the last few months of the year for as long as I can remember.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
The best suggestion I can make is that everyone speak to their pharmacists to see what is available and then discuss it with their doctors to see if they can prescribe that, in the meantime.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
Hello i wanted to know if you had any luck. My mother has bone disease and she really need her norco 10s. Thank you
Having the same problem. It's the whole state not just Jacksonville. They're saying it will hopefully not be an issue starting November. Who knows. I'm having to go days without my medication because of this. I just pray it comes in ASAP.
