Ferrous sulfate is the correct name. Basically it is a supplemental form of Iron Salts.

Obviously iron or iron absorption is lacking in the diet. If you want to avoid pills, you should naturally eat more iron rich foods, like spinach, hemp seeds, watermelon, and MANY more. Also try to eat more kiwi for their high vitamin C content. It is much higher than oranges and will help with iron absorption issues. There are a vast number of other foods with similar properties to help you naturally if this is the route you choose to take.
