Ferric Yellow Oxide
UpdatedI am allergic to the aluminum lake red and yellow colors (all of them). How do ferric colors differ from aluminum lake colors?

Hello, Emwoodli! How are you? I'm sorry, what an annoying allergy to have, it must be very hard to keep track of, since colorants are in so much stuff.
The difference, however, is that ferric is iron based, rather than aluminum like the others. Therefor, they may not cause you a problem, like the others do.
Is there anything else I can help with?
