Fentanyl Patch Withdrawal Symptoms And Duration (Page 16) (Top voted first)

i have post surgical lower back pain. was in 50 mcg patch and had side effects and so decided to wean off. i finished with the 12 mcg patch a week ago and am still suffering from periodic nausea, irritability, daily joint and muscle pain, but the worst is the consistent restless legs. it is driving me crazy. my doctor says that is not withdrawal. is he right? i don't think so. if it is withdrawal, what can i do about it and how long will it last? i am going crazy.

my daughter has been on fentanyl patches for quite some time the doctor wants to take her off cold turkey is this wise

I had to withdraw from oxycodone and several other pain meds. I always suffered through restless legs. My doctor prescribed Pramipexole .25 mg tablets, 1 at bedtime and it has completely gotten rid of the restless leg syndrome. I still suffer from restless legs if I don't take this med, but taking it faithfully I have no problems.

Yvonne I just saw ur post I just came off fentanyl 150mch every 2 days no w/d .. every I mean very slight stomach cramps .. I just too a 25 mg benadryl every 12 hrs no problem

Put a bar of soap like Jergens or Ivory on top of your bed sheet. This will help tremendously with restless leg syndrome. Also take a multimineral supplement. A chelated form will help faster. You will get immediate relief using the soap. If you are sitting or standing just hold the soap in your hands for a minute or so and the relief is astronomical. Why does this work? many people don't know or care but there could be minerals in the soap that your body needs and helps to relieve the symptom. The Point is it DOES work. Of course, RL is related to withdrawal Most Dr's do not know enough about withdrawal to make any comments about it.

Can anyone tell me if the way I am feeling is withdrawal from the drug? I'm not trying to come of the fentanyl patch 75 mc but the surgery lost my prescription and due to having a couple of faulty patches made me use them up quicker but the foc wouldn't issue another script as they say I was over using to cut long story short I have had to go 2 and a half days without a patch on and the depression is awful. I'm on them for fibromyalgia and went cold turkey a couple of years ago to come of morphine etc and feels bit like this. I feel everyone's sorrow and pain even if I don't no them is from TV news or even fictional so it has to be right? I am a mother of five having 3 young ones still living at home. Now I have the patch on again today will I start to feel normal again v soon. Thank you

What is the best way to taper off of Fentanyl patches? They work really well, but keep falling off of me. And they make me sweat and flush, terribly.

fetenal is for dying people in Hospice that know they will dye in days and are in severe pain. Fetenal kills . No more pain becuse FDA just got away with murder again

hi Guy's, Im 54 had a broken rotator cuff for the past four years and have been a habitual user of Fentynal 50s 25s and 12s, along with Oxcycontin 20s 30s. The pain went away however I was a bad boy and lied to my Doctor telling him the pain was still there to get these drugs. I was hooked and he became my drug dealer. Of course after being on opiates for so long it started to take its toll , short term memory loss , forgetfulness , generally living in a fairy dairy land and not having much recollection of the past four years which is sad. I new it had to stop so I fessed up to my doctor and he put me on CLONDINE which is a high blood pressure reduction drug however it helped mask some of the terrible withdrawals I was experiencing (Hell) . For the kicking of the feet and that awful head feeling in bed I found using a hypnotic sleeping pill got rid of it 100% ( Not Stynox ). Its been my 5th day of cold turkey, Diarrhoea is reducing, so is the sneezing . The withdraws are hell however by using what I have from my Doctor has made things a lot easier, especially the sleeping tablets for the kick feet.
