Sandi, I totally agree as one who finally got SSI/SSD and Medicare but it took about 3 years, even with a lawyer. So while I agree that Mandi should definitely follow your advice, it will take a loooong time to get Social Security.

All disability attorneys take 1/3 of your SSI Back pay and depending on your age and condition it could take four years or more to get approved even with an attorney!

I would not suggest using that without a doctor. U can die if take too much and withdrawals are very nasty if stop cold turkey

If you suffer chronic pain then why aren't you on disability. Then you would get drug coverage from the government, and be able to afford your meds. When you go thru an out of country pharmacy, you have no idea what is even in those pills. It could be nothing but cellulose.. Go to your welfare office and start SSI applications, then find yourself a lawyer that will handle your dissibilty case. They usually take 25% of your rewards if they win for you.
