Fentanyl Pain Patch Acetaminophen And Kidney Issues

Is there a danger to kidneys if I have the patch? I only have one kidney....lost because of a kidney stone.

The kidneys are partially responsible for removing Fentanyl from the body, so it may actually affect you more than it would people with 2 kidneys and linger in your body longer than usual.

But generally, when it comes to damage from medications, it is the liver that is of the most concern, especially with Acetaminophen.

Has your doctor said it is safe for you to use these medications?

The FDA classifies Fentanyl as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
