According to NIH reports, both sugars and fats in your diet can affect your blood sugar levels. What types of foods do you eat? Do you keep your intake of both as low as possible? Fats tend to coat the cells and prevent them from absorbing the sugars needed for energy, so elevated amounts of it may remain in your blood.
Have you considered trying insulin to see if it provides you with better control?
How much exercise do you usually get each day?
