Femiane Birth Control Pill Lav

I have taken femaine for 3 days and had unprotected intercourse this morning. can the pill already be working even tho I'm just starting for 3 days for the first time?

I am 48 and on femiane birth control. However i had a period in August but did not take the pill after that, but now I resumed in september on the first day of my period which lasted one day. Have not had intercourse for two months. What's happening?
