I took a drug test at my sub dr and it was positive for fentanyl and cocaine. I 100% did not use these drugs. I’ve never ever had fentanyl in my life and have not used cocaine in 10 yrs. My doctor doesn’t believe me and is recommending in-patient. How could this happen when I seriously haven’t taken anything I wasn’t prescribed? I’m on 2mg of Suboxone (zubsolv) a day and 50mg vyvanse, both prescribed and by that dr so he knows I’m on them. I know that they have to go by what the tests say but I really really have not done cocaine or fentanyl. Anyone understand how this is possible? He also said that many of my previous tests were adulterated and didn’t have creatinine? I don’t know what that means but I’ve never tried to do anything to my pee or use anything but the pee that came out of my body. I never had a reason to because I’ve never been concerned about having anything in my urine but I feel like this is a sick joke or something and can’t figure it out.
I was part of an outpatient program 4 years ago (voluntarily) and had cocaine show up once before and I truly didn’t do cocaine and actually stopped going because I could tell the didnt believe me. I seriously freaked out that something weird is going on with my 2 medications that is making at least the cocaine positive result but why would this only happen once in a while and not all the time if I’ve always been on these same medications and haven’t been on anything else. I take stacker 3 diet otc pills but once again I always have so this still isn’t explaining why cocaine has shown up twice when there was no contact with whatsoever at all the substance. And not fentanyl, like I’m so upset and no one believes me, wtf is going on?
It may be that your consent is considered implied, since you are a patient. You might want to look over any paperwork you've send to consent to treatment, or any agreements you may have signed when you became his patient. Many doctors, especially those in pain management, make it a required part of agreeing to take you on as a patient. Other doctors do it, as well if they feel they may have reasons to be suspicious of certain behaviors.
How did they obtain a sample for a drug test, without your consent? Was it blood, urine or saliva?
