Extended Release Capsules Diltiazem 240 Mg

Is it normal to have 4 little white pills inside the capsules? When my friend was taking her meds she found little white pills with her capsules and when she broke a capsule open, she found 4 little white pills inside the capsule. Is there supposed to be these in there or is there supposed to be beads inside?

If she is taking the extended release, they must be taken whole, not broken open.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

What are the markings on the capsules she is taking?
