Expired Penicillin V K 300mg

Hi, i have a bottle of apo pen vk 300mg and the date that they have to be thrown away is 2015/11/06. My question is are they still safe to take and are they still effective? Thank you.

This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it can lose effectiveness and may not work as well as when it was new, which creates the risk of someone developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Thus, it would be best to dispose of it and see your physician for a new supply, if you think you have an infection.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
