Expired Fentanyl Patch 4 Years
UpdatedHow safe is it to use a fentanyl 50mg. Patch that is 4 years old, after being prescribed 80mg oxycontin every 8 hrs.

It does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does start to lose effectiveness, so it would be best to dispose of it and take the medication that your doctor has prescribed.
The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
