Expired Doxycycline

I have a bottle of doxycycline that expired this past March. Is this still ok to use?

Once expired, antibiotics tend to lose effectiveness, which increases the risk of it not working adequately and causing you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria. Thus, it would be best to see your doctor for a new prescription, if you have an infection.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
