No, this medication doesn't get dangerous, once it's expired, but it does lose effectiveness. Thus, it would be best to dispose of the rest and pick up a new supply.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain.
