Expiration Date On Phenylephrine

If is expired in 2014 is it still okay to use? is it effective for decongestion still?

This medication does not become toxic, once expired, but it does begin to lose efficacy, so it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. Thus, it would be best to dispose of them and purchase a new supply.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, nervousness and insomnia.
