I just had my script refilled and my estrogen tabs are now green with 149 and what looks lije an upside down u. These are not the same pills I have taken in the past. I am wondering why. Plys they are sweet like sugar when I put them in my mouth. Strange.

I also got a refill today, light green pill it has 1P 78 ON IT, I GOT IT AT WAHLMART THE COLOR HAS CHANGED ON THIS PILL. CAN YOU TELL ME IF OK ? THANK YOU

Hello, Patty! How are you? I'm sorry about the confusion, but I will gladly clear this up for you.

This is a generic medication and once a drug is available as a generic it is usually manufactured by several different companies, this creates some market competition to help keep prices down. Each manufacturer must use different markings on their tablets to enable them to be identified and traced back to them, in case of an emergency. Which one your pharmacy carries, at any given time, may change depending on which was available at the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply.

The tablet you have with the 1490 marking is the correct medication and is manufactured by ANI Pharmaceuticals Inc. just as you listed in your subject line. The sweet taste is just the outer coating on them.
