Estrog/methyl Vs Estradiol Patch

I have been taking estrog/methyl pill for 15 yrs, now insurance does not cover it, phys put me on estradiol patch (which insurance covers) concerned about side effects, are they similar in relieving side effects.? would appreciate any feedback anyone can give me.

Yes, they should work similarly, and the side effects profile is about the same, and may include nausea, headache, hot flashes, dizziness, and acne.
