How is the child doing now?
Generally, when taking an antibiotic, there should be an improvement in 3 days, but that's really only relevant if the fever was caused by an infection.
If the fever was caused by something else, such as a virus, like a cold or flu, then the antibiotic isn't really going to help with that.
