I HAVE BEEN ON OXYCODONE FOR OVER 2 YEARS AND MY DRUG STORE RAN OUT AND GAVE ME ENDOCET? SAID IT WAS THE SAME THING BUT MY BODY TELLS ME THAT IT'S NOT THE SAME. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS CHANGE?

lucky you, I told my doctor about the difference and he would not give me the percocet script...He just told me to take tylenol with it...I tried it and same thing happened...fell asleep and had no pain relief

Yes, I have to have name brand. Oxycodone is a generic also, along with endocet. You have to ask your doctor to always put on the prescription brand name only or you will get generic.

You can get just Oxycodone without being Percocet (Percs have Tylenol) The oxycodone are aka Roxicodone, I stopped taking the percs due to the high levels of Tylenol I was getting and not wanting to trash my liver ! Roxi's come in many sizes (My son had 5mg after wrist pinning surgery) I normally take the 15mg, but then again I get 180 a month. I've been taking that quantity for many years.. Afraid to take less pills and switch to the 30mg

YES! As many as 13 people that I know have said the same thing. What are they thinking? I ll tell you:

Since Roxicet has become a NAME-BRAND pain killer just like (Percocet) it is no longer a GENERIC DRUG and is now MORE EXPENSIVE and Most insurance companies will NOT pay for Roxicet now. Endocet is made by a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT Pharmacy than ROXICET. ~ MALLINKRDT Pharmiceuticals makes SUB STANDARD Generic pain pills called ENDOCET or they stay safe and call them OXYCODONE generic for ROXICET!, and ROXANE Pharmaceuticals Make ROXICET . If you ask for ROXICET the Pharmacy will NOT give em to you unless you PAY FOR THEM because they are expensive and your Insurance wants to pay $450.00 LESS for the Sub Pain killers, even though you have to DOUBLE UP on them to get even a PINCH of the pain reduction Roxicet gives you. All I can say is, Whatever you do, you need to CONTACT Mallinkrdt Pharmaceuticals and COMPLAIN! and perhaps the FDA and let them know that the MALLINKRDT pain killers are Breaking up, and Falling apart inside their medicine bottles! This will tell the FDA that the BINDERS they are using are INEFFECTIVE and SUB STANDARD and the FDA will MAKE THEM use the MORE EXPENSIVE TIME CONSUMING Binders that WORK! By the way, I heard of a LAW SUIT beginning in Ohio, and in California. The Pharmacy would NOT give the person ROXICET or PERCOCET from Roxane or Purdu pharmaceuticals and the person became sick because his pills fell apart at the bottom of the bottle he had to take two halves and sometimes the one half was larger that the other so....without realizing the DAMAGE he could be doing to him self... he OVER rx'd and two weeks later he died of overdose. WHY NO PHARMACIST WILL BELIEVE YOU WHEN YOU STATE THEY DO FALL APART AND DO NOT WORK......SURPRISES ME, And that they are NOT taking this SERIOUSLY is PREPOSTEROUS!

BOTH Endocet and Roxicet are OXYCODONE and they are BOTH classified at the SAME Narcotic Class The only difference is the B I N D E R which is used in making the pain killers is DIFFERENT. The binder and the AMOUNT OF OPIATE which is used in the making of the pills, Sometimes PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES add MORE or LESS in their creation of any certain medication. So...... Classified at the same NARC Level, Both Being OxyCodone, but BOTH BEING MADE AT DIFFERENT Pharmaceutical Companies is a BIG DIFFERENCE! 3 - ENDOCET pills are equivalent to 1 - ROXICET pill. YOU MUST INSIST to your Pharmacist that you REFUSE TO USE/TAKE ANY pill of ANY kind unless it is made by.... { R O X A N E PHARMACEUTICALS } This will force the pharmacy to THROW AWAY THE EXPIRED/ROTTEN pills that they are trying to PASS OFF ON TO YOU away!!!

my cousin is a pill head. He claims endocet gets him the best results.. But he uses them i am sure just to get high. I just got a script and am scared to take them. He has taken all of them for years and laughs at me.

ENDOCET IS THE BOMB. IDC WHAT ANYBODY ELSE SAYS I HAVE TOP NOTCH INSURANCE & only take Name brand meds for approx 2 years if not more ive been suffering badly from chronic disc pain in my c-spine & really all up & dwn my spine up to my neck due to accidents while doing backbreaking work on the waterfront ., yes im a longshoremen ( but im a woman) ;) & we are so spoiled cuz our ins. Covers brand & i pay $1.00 out of pocket not bein a show off just proving a point that i do get BRAND ONLY!! Today due to back orders on Perkiset for the past 3 weeks no one has the brand name in my area;( i tried several pharmacys) in difrent cities, thats how stubborn i am but i have noticed cuz i put two difrent meds same mg but they were vicodens & i noticed that generic melted slower., but since then i felt well the brand will work faster this is my experience but the upside was they worked longer, so today i settled for this generic & it worked within 20 min just a few min longer than brand!! They look the same & taste the same aswell!! So seriously im saving my gas cuz i been wastin up to 20$ on my tahoes even with flex fuel just bein a lil sh*+ tryna get my brand Perks!! So dont even trip get the generic if u gota cuz it beats being in pain & not being able to live comfortably WITHDRAWALS FROM NOT HAVING ANYTHING IN 12 hrs is a mFkah!! No im leavin out the name of the generic cuz it dnt matter!! it really is all in your HEAD !!

I agree the Endocet does NOT do the same as the oxycodone. Being on pain mads for many years is not fun but in order to be able to function some during the day it has to be done.

My endocet cost almost a hundred dollars, the drugest told me percocet was $8.00 a pill now. My drugest gave me oxycod one time, it was $44.00, and don't even ease a headache. The drugest said it did not have coddone in it. I was to get percocet. I have 3 broke and 9 cracks in 7 ribs, with 98% auther. Had nerve pain and operation on hands, pain in heel, can't hardly walk or move because of pain.

No It IS NOT the same..... They use DIFFERENT Binders and Different Fillers in EACH of their OWN Chemistry of the Making of there Pills. Please do Not pretend to know how others respond to a pill by telling them that it is All In Their Headds! Shame on YOU!

Because Each Chemist uses DIFFERENT Fillers, and Binders in their mixtures of OXYCODONE. Oxycodone is the (OPIAT/NARCOTIC) and is the MAIN INGREDIENT for these Pills: Percocet = Oxycodone(OPIAT) and Acetominophen (TYLENOL) & Percodan same as percocet but instead of Tylenol (CET) they Fill with Asprin (DAN) used to be the only ones. Then (once the SEVEN Year monopoly was LIFTED and other Pharmaceutical Co's could make these Oxy's... Roxane Pharmaceuticals created a GENERIC PERCOCET and names it (R O X I C E T!) ROXICET was the MOST REQUESTED (Oxycodone) for the last eight years so Last Year Roxane changed (ROXICET) status NOW calling it a NAME BRAND and Charging the Pharmasist 6x the original amount they used to! Thats when ENDOCET came along! Endocet = The Breaking, Fall Apart No OOMPF pill) These pain killers have MANY MANUFACTURERS. Here are some examples:
1) ROXICET is by - ROXANNE
2) ENDOCET is by- PURDUE PHARMA
3) MALICET is by - MALLINKRT
4) WATSICET is by- WATSON
They are all the same for pain and all use OXYCODONE, some use Less some More and the Fillers and Binders are ALL different and Act differently to Any Obe Person in its Own Unique way!

I've been taken endocet 10/325 for months now.It seems that i have to take more & more to relieve my pain.I have 3 herniated disk,I've suffered a broken neck and had a spinal fusion from a disease called scholiosis.When I was younger I can't really remember pain but now work,yard work and small tasks take an effort.I took a M30 mg Oxycodone hydrochloride(Mallinckrodt) over the holiday because I was away without my pain meds and I'm wondering which is less harmful for long term use?I'm aware that percocet/endocets have acetaminophen and oc's don't.....

I know this post is over 3 years old but I have to respond anyways, if your son died of an overdose while consuming a prescribed amount then something is horribly wrong as doctors cannot and will not prescribe dosages that will result in an overdose... ESPECIALLY opiates! they are watched like hawks by not only the DEA, DOH and FDA your pharmacies are now instructed to oversee distribution quantities as well........ are you aware there are now (2012) on going lawsuits for the drug fentanyl all around the US? a relative was on the patch and he had horrible life threatening results and he could not be taken off cold turkey, his feet, ankles and calves swelled up over twice their normal size, they were actually weeping, (after 6 weeks use) once off the patch swelling deceased even while on other powerful opiates, fentanyl is a horrible drug, I would investigate its responsibility if any, I am saddened by your loss

I just realized the name change on my medication. I checked it because of the color difference. The enforcer doesn't make me as nauseous. I am using it as a suppliment for breakthrough pain while on a patch. I actually just wanted to know who you are getting your scrips filled with. I'm getting 120 ct 10/325 for $66. Name brand was only $75. When I went to Walgreens tho, they wanted to charge me three times that. I have no insurance. But u still do t have to pay a lot. Find a mom n pop shop. They will give you a better price. I even have rx assistance for my fentinyl patch. Good luck
