Eltroxin 1mg And Dianne Contraceptive Pill

I wanted to know if it is safe to take the dianne pill when I am on eltroxin,1mg a day.I just feel like I'm putting on weight and very moody so not sure if it is the pill,only been taking the dianne for almost 2 months and eltroxin for about 5 years.I do blood tests every 6 months to check my thyroid

Hello, Allison! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having.

Those can be normal side effects of both of these medications. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and spotting, as reported by the U.S. FDA.

It isn't noted as being dangerous to take them, together, but side effects can happen with any medication.

Is your doctor aware that you are taking both?
