My wife is 15 week pregnant and doctor adviced to use susten 400mg daily in night(to be insert).Please give detailed information about susten 400 tablets side effects.

Hi,

I am ttc for past 3 years. I have had one miscarriage. My gynac recently prescribed to me Susten SR 200 which I have been taking for close to 5 months for 10 days each month post ovulation. Along with that, I have been taking Trazer Forte (twice daily), Consevel(twice daily), Ecosprin (once daily), Cabgolin(twice a week). After taking these medicines for about 4 months, I started getting severe episodes of vertigo. It starts after ovulation & lasts for 7 to 8 days. This has been hapenning for past 3 months. I have stopped all my medicines. The vertigo still persists but it is less severe now. Please advice if its possible that it hapenned due to the side effects of any of these drugs. Will this vertigo stop after some time since now I have stopped the medicines? I have already consulted ENT specialist & physiotherapist. They have cleared me suggesting that the vertigi symptoms may be due to the side effects of the hormone inducing drugs I ma taking.

This contains a form of the hormone progesterone, which is vital to a woman's overall health, her ability to become pregnant, and to carry a baby to full term, thus you should take it, if your doctor has prescribed it. And no, there is no reason for a man to take it.

The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms.
