Effects And Side Acticlate

My son started taking articlate for his acne the beginning of January. After about the second week he has been complaining of a sinus kind of headache that he's had pretty much every day since then. Sinus meds are the only thing that seem to help the headache.

McDowell your son may have sinus problems causing the headache, especially since the sinus meds help. keep giving him the sinus meds and if it persists see your doc.

Acticlate contains Doxycycline and antibiotics can cause headaches in some people that take them, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

As his body gets used to it, it should taper off in intensity and eventually go away entirely, if it is just a side effect.

However, if it doesn't, he will need to see his doctor as it may be unrelated.
