I use trepiline 50mg. and I would like to stop smoking so can I use Zyban with the trepiline. Please advise.

The correct drug name is Amitriptyline, the active ingredient in Elavil, this is an antidepressant.

Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and blurred vision.

In some cases, it is used in conjunction with Zyban, however, this site is not medical professionals, and only your doctor can decide on the safety of that.

My daughter use Trepiline for headaches. She is only 17 years old. She's been using this for the past 4 months. It helps, but when she does not take it, she becomes very emotional. She is an serious athlete and now she also suffers from sore muscles. Is this normal?

I am currently taking paroxetene for panic and the doctor has prescribed trepiline as I am having trouble sleeping. Please advise me of the side-effects of trepiline as I am taking a beta-blocker and blood pressure meds as well.

Hi, I have been seriously struggling with cronic imsomnia. My dr has prescribed 2 x tablets for me to take at night, 1 x 10mg trepoline & 10m Ivedal Zolphidem (sometimes Adco Zolphidem). I am know starting with an IVF Fertility treatment, and I am very anxious. Please advise is the tablets are safe to use during IVF and ones it's confirmed we are pregnant. I have tried to stop using tablets with dissatorious effects, almost do not sleep. Please help

Hi , I am 17 years old & I went to the doctor because I'm having trouble sleeping , he then perscribed me trepiline & when I googe'd it , it says that it helps with pain & all other sorts of things besides insomnia ... What now ?

Hi, I am an insomniac too. I know what you are going through. I am not a doctor, but I advise that you stay away from Zolpidem and benzodiazepines. They are all very dangerous and addictive. Stick to Trepiline and Melatonine.

I weaned myself off Trepiline slowly in the 3rd quarter of 2013. I thought I was fine after that. However, I started being nauseas in the mornings then got burning pains in my stomach. Dr sent me for a gallbladder test but it was fine. Two weeks ago, I had an endoscopy & colonoscopy because I thought it may have been a stomach ulcer. Anyway, in desperation, last Sunday I started the trepiline again & no more nausea nor burning stomach. I am sad as I wanted to stay off trepiline but it seems to help with the stress.

i been addicted to the pain tablets Adco Dol for 4 years for headache. I finaly seek help and was discribe trepiline the thing is couple of years ago my mom was given trepline for sleeping so i tried it back then but the side effect it had on me was ressless leg syndrome. Should i take trepline as i realy cant deal with this headach as it efecting my work. Please advise.
