UpdatedI have a prescription for Cymbalta thats about 6yrs old...will the pills still work?

At this point, you should really just properly dispose of them.
Once they are removed from the original factory sealed bottle, tablets and capsules have a one year expiration date, because they are then exposed to the elements, which hastens degradation.
This means that they lose effectiveness over time, thus after this many years, they are most likely worthless.
