Early Prescription Refills

If my script states "may fill on 11/30", is that the same as "do not fill until"? Just wondering if I could pick up before 11\30. Thank you

Yes, "may fill on" is stating you may refill on that date. The "may" connotes 'you may...or may not fill according to your need or want, but the doc is signifying the date when you can carry out that decision'.
Yes, unfortunately it does mean the same thing. I just went through this with my son and his medication for his ADHD. If it says; "Please fill after... " Or, "May fill on/after...." it's all the same as "do not fill until..."
(In my opinion, it's your Dr.'s way of trying to be a bit more polite or civil sounding than "DO NOT FILL UNTIL..." as that can make many a bit uneasy...
Hope this helps :)

Hi~ Since all the new opiate drug laws are in effect, a 30 day supply can only be filled one day early. No sooner. With a 28 day supply you can only fill it one day early as well. That's just the way it is. So we all just have to suck it up buttercups.... Wishing you all well.
No rph is going to jeopardize their license to hold and run an early rx fill with one exception if their under the greatest stress and suffering from substance abuse themselves. Chances are very slim that they will.its never going back to your friendly drug store friend. The DEA has sought to it believe me they are the worst of the government regulators p.s trying this with the wrong pharmacy personal is the speediest way to be red flagged and reported.
3 days is the earliest their legally allowed even with insurance or cash less upersobsllh know a pharmacist who will and hold it to legally run it incomputor
Yes the rules have changed once again... Cannot get them before the date stated on the prescription. You should also expect at least one, or more U/A's per year.
Thank you for replying! Yes, it is for my pain med. He had never wrote that before so I was a little confused. I didn't know if they would except it today or not. I am actually due to fill today but he messed up with the 30th date on it . The office was closed to get it corrected. I'll just have to wait i guess. Thanks again
Hello, Ladybug! How are you?
Yes, it would be considered the same by most pharmacies, according to the DEA prescribing directions.
Is it a controlled substance? Those are typically the ones that doctors write that on.
Generally, it may be done with some opiates, stimulants and benzodiazepines.
