Duloxee 40mg, Escitalent Plus

Hi all My name is arohi. This massgae is about my mom who is 56 years of age. In 2004 she had lot of body pains and the doctor suggested some MRIs and gave medication like bp tablets, duloxee and escitalent. She has been using these tablets till now (11 years). She feels depressed and nowadays she is being more aggressive, shouting at others and not understanding others, situations. Doctor never says the reason and asks her to continue the same medication. Please suggest what to do? Do I have to discontinue the medicine or consult another Doctor?

Yes, I'd suggest seeing another doctor, if her current one isn't paying attention to these issues.

These are both different types of antidepressants, so some of her depression may be due to the dose she's on no longer working for her, which can happen after such a long period of time. However, the aggressiveness and other symptoms you've described are concerning and be due to some other health issue.

The typical side effects of these medications, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain.
