Looking for dr with maintenance license near Charleston wv instead of paying cash at clinic for chronic pain

Under current FDA law, private practice doctor's are not allowed to prescribe Methadone for addiction, or maintenance treatment. Only medical professionals that are specially trained to treat with it are allowed to do so, and only in a clinical medical setting.

They can prescribe it for pain, but if someone has ever gone to a clinic and been treated with it, regardless of whether or not it was for addiction treatment, or pain, that is listed in your medical records and regular PCPs, or pain management professionals are not allowed to prescribe it.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Have you consulted a pain management specialist?
