Doxytet Pills

I was given Doxytet, diagnosed with vaginal discharge syndrome. On my 5th day of taking the antibiotics I noticed large amounts of thick discharge and the opening of my vagina very itchy. I read that antibiotics cause yeast infection, do I now need to be on medication for yeast infection? Also when does the rash caused by doxytet clear up?

Yes, it sounds like you've developed a yeast infection and will need an antifungal medication to clear it up. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of such medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain.

As to the rash, it may take a couple of weeks for it to clear up and go away.
