This is an antibiotic that can be used to treat various types of bacterial infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
It may help, if your doctor approves of your taking it. However, it does depend on the type of bacteria that has caused the problem, it may not be appropriate to treat all types.
