Doxycycline Heartburn

After taking doxycycline and not remaining upright for 30 minutes and not drinking or eating enough when taking the pill, I have been experiencing heartburn. I was wondering if anybody knew how long the heartburn would go on for and what I could do to help it.

Sorry that you're having this problem, there are very good reasons such warnings are on these medications.

What have you tried to treat it so far? Have you consulted your doctor?

How often have you done this and how severe is the heartburn?

I didn't find any interactions listed between it and Pepcid, which is available over the counter, but you need to check with your doctor to make sure that it's safe for you to take.
