I started Doxepin about 3 weeks ago to help me sleep. I went to the doctor because I was dizzy. Thought it was vertigo but it was a sinus infection. The dizziness should be gone by now. The only change in meds is the Doxepin. How long does it take to get it out of my system?

Doxepin can cause dizziness as a side effect, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, headache, dry mouth, and weight changes. Generally, they are transient and should go away, once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take about 4 to 5 weeks.
Were you also on an antibiotic for the infection? Most of them can also cause dizziness as a side effect.
