Dosage For A 5 Year Old With Strep Throat

I was wondering if it is normal to give a child that is 5 years old and weighs 56 pounds 7.5 ml 3 times a day for strep throat. He just seems really tired and just throwed up. Seems kinda high of a dose but that is what he was prescribed.

If you are referring to an antibiotic, then the dosage prescribed will depend on the severity of the infection. The FDA lists possible antibiotic side effects as including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Which medication was he prescribed and what is the dosage per 7.5ml?
