I have been taking blood thiners for the past 4 days now. Ever since I have been taking the blood thiner blood comes out in my urine. Does the blood thiner cause this to happen? And if so, why?

From what I've read, if you can see blood in your urine, you should probably get an evaluation as soon as possible. At least to make sure that there's nothing serious taking place.
Common drugs that may cause visible urinary blood include, but are not limited to: Blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin, or heparin), penicillin, and the anti-cancer drug cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan).
Does anyone happen to know why blood thinners cause this, or Is it simply a matter of blood viscosity?
