I am prescribed roxicodone 30mg, 4 a day. I have been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 12 yrs. The pain medication works really well, but I guess my body has got immune to it and they dont seem to last as long. He doesnt want to increase the amount but they do not last the whole month. I have been obtaining a few percocets to get me through. My question is, when they drug test me to make sure I'm taking my meds, will the percocet show up the same as the roxy or should I quit taking it? I cant afford to lose my script but I also need to get out of bed and get things done. Any help would be appreciated, thanx

#40 yes they are the same. Oxycodone is oxycodone period. Regardless of the milligram regardless with or without Tylenol. You will be fine. Roxys, oxys and percs will test the same. PERIOD

Oxy & Percocet show up the same. They show up as Oxycodone. The only difference in the 2 is the Tylenol. I was on Oxy & Percocet for breakthrough pain at the same time then my Oxy was increased so I was taken off the Percocet. I still had Percocets left so I had taken a few before my appointment 2 months later & when I had to do the Urine Screening I still passed my test..

Yes, unfortunately they will show up as different drugs, on a UA. It will show positive for Morphine and also positive for oxy, for the percocets if they aren't out of your system, in time for the UA.

If you eat any burgers with sesame seeds on the bun it can show up that you took morphine a false/positive once it goes to the lab! It happened to me! Look it up in Google and it will tell you yes it will! Very wierd! Hope this helps their are several other things too ask google what can make you show up positive for morphine? Like eat or take and it will give you a list! Thanks! Emily

Emily I'm sorry but that is false. You can eat a pound of sesame seeds and it won't happen. Sesame seeds poppy seeds it doesn't matter

#48. I assure you you will be fine. Oxycodone is oxycodone, the difference in the oxy 30 and a percocet 10 is one has Tylenol and the other doesn't.

Actually okcgirl you can get false positives from poppy seeds. Will show up on standard urine test as morphine, however more in depth testing at a lab can differentiate between actual morphine and poppy seeds.

#50 that is what I said. My words ..test are more sophisticated nowadays. Pain clinics do extensive tests. Hence. Poppy seeds will not make you fail a UA for opiates and if you have to have opiates in your urine eating all the poppy seeds in the world won't help you.

I have to go for a blood test in a fee days I take percocet for cronic pain but I wanted to try something different to see if they helped me more than the percs do so I took a roxy 10 and they do help alot better so my question is will they both show up in the blood work ????

Yes you will fail your drug trust! Percocet is totally different from Hydrocodone. The drug make up is completely different. Because it's two different drugs. Percocet is different because it's a stronger drug than Hydrocodone. Be very careful and make sure you have at least 4 to 5 days clean away from the Percocet before you go to the doctor and take a urine drug screen!
